Luxury Chalets in Kitzbühel

A medieval town, the most famous downhill in the world and some of Tyrol's best restaurants, with a private chalet to come back to.

Why Kitzbühel

Kitzbühel is the Alpine resort that is also a proper town. The walled centre has painted façades, independent shops and restaurants that stay busy all year, so evenings feel lively without a single bar setting the tone. It suits families, mixed-ability groups and anyone who wants as much from the town as from the mountain.

Skiing in Kitzbühel

The KitzSki area offers around 233 km of slopes served by 58 lifts, linking Kitzbühel with Kirchberg, Jochberg and Pass Thurn. Most of the terrain suits confident intermediates, with long cruising runs and huts on almost every piste. The season typically runs from early November to mid-April.

The mountain everyone comes to see is the Streif, the Hahnenkamm downhill course. Outside race week a private guide can take you down at a civilised pace, which is the only sensible way to try it.

Hahnenkamm race week 2027

The 87th Hahnenkamm Races run from 18 to 24 January 2027, with the downhill on Saturday 23 January. It is the busiest week of the Kitzbühel winter. Chalets around these dates are requested early, so ask about availability well in advance.

Kitzbühel in summer

In summer the same mountains turn into hiking and biking country, and the region is known for its golf courses. The Schwarzsee, a short drive from town, is a natural lake for swimming on warm days. Summer stays run from two nights, with any arrival day.
